Due to the low hardness of clay sand molding sand type, large concession, pouring live parts swell box, sands, sand, pores, shrinkage and other casting defects are serious, not only resulting in poor product appearance, but also the product's inherent casting defects, seriously affecting the service life of the product, high scrap rate. The aggregate in coated sand molding is pickled or roasted at high temperature, which reduces the expansion of the sand mold after combustion, and has many advantages such as high strength of the sand mold after curing and small gas emission. The products produced are far superior to the products produced by clay sand molding in terms of appearance quality, inherent casting defects and precision of product size.

Due to the fast cooling speed of the coated sand molding casting, the graphite form of the casting is greatly improved, the mechanical properties of the product are improved, and the service life of the product is increased. The products produced by coated sand molding, especially ductile iron, are far superior to those produced by clay sand molding in terms of spheroidization level, matrix organization, hardness, tensile strength and yield strength. 3, coated sand molding using automatic production line operation, improve production efficiency, reduce the labor intensity of workers, shorten the labor time. However, the traditional clay sand modeling adopts manual modeling or molding machine modeling. The labor intensity of workers is high and the work efficiency is low, which is 1/3 to 1/4 of the production line modeling efficiency.

Because the clay sand is added with a large proportion of coal powder, which is mainly used to increase the appearance quality and air permeability of live parts, coal powder can not be reused in sand, resulting in waste of resources. At the same time, the reducing gas and PM2.5 produced during combustion cause serious pollution to the atmosphere. Although the molding method based on coated sand has a certain impact on the environment, it uses less sand, and all the waste sand after use is recycled. The work site is clean and free of dust pollution.

5. The sand layer is thin, the dosage is small, the production cost is low, and the waste is small. The used sand can be recycled. Due to the thin sand coating of this modeling method, 5-10 ㎜ sand coating is usually designed according to the wall thickness of the moving parts, while clay sand modeling usually has a minimum sand coating amount of 30-50 ㎝, and the sand amount used is 10-20 times that of coated sand. Although clay sand can also be recycled for the second time, the added high-component coal powder, bentonite and other additional raw materials have basically been lost, and the quality of the sand has been greatly reduced, affecting the appearance quality of the product. After high-temperature roasting, the expansion of the molded sand of the coated sand is greatly reduced, and the process steps of pickling are reduced during the secondary use. At the same time, the addition of solid resin and curing agent is also greatly reduced, which reduces the production cost.
