 Foundry industry is one of China's important basic industries, sand casting is a more widely used casting process. In the sand casting process, the need to add sand core, sand, additives and other modelling materials, resulting in excess of the old sand must be discharged from the casting production system; at the same time, sand casting in the sand mixing, modelling, pouring, sand, transport, clean-up and other aspects of the sand casting will produce a large number of waste (old) sand and dust and ash and other wastes. It is necessary to dispose of these waste (old) sand and dust ash in a harmless manner or resource utilisation to reduce the pollution caused to the environment and the waste of silica sand resources. This document summarises the current sand casting waste (old) sand regeneration and dusting ash resourceful use of feasible technology for sand casting project solid waste disposal activities to provide technical reference. The introduction of standards for the foundry industry ecological environmental management process route has played a clear guidance direction!
